Painting Reveal | Allie and Tom's Group Gift

My goodness there is so much to share.  I might have to post a couple times this week!
Let's catch up from last week with the other Labor Day delivery I made....Allie and Tom's painting.

This was a different painting presentation than I've done so far because it was not only Allie and Tom seeing the painting for the first time, but also the 22 other people involved in making this piece possible.  I'll be honest....I was a little nervous to present it.  Alas, all went well, and Allie and Tom are now the proud owners of this piece of art:

Allie sent me this photo of the painting next to her "guest book" from the wedding.  How fantastic is this for a usable wedding guest book that you will see daily!?  I love that she captured two pieces of meaningful wedding memorabilia in one photo.

Allie and Tom Update | The 3/4 Snapshots

Time for an Allie and Tom update!  The peonies are just bursting out of this one.

As you know, I'm usually two steps ahead of the game in real time, so this weekend I am actually delivering the finished painting to Allie and Tom.  It's going to be a really special unveiling with my lake family which includes several people that went in on the painting with me as a wedding gift.  Be sure to follow me along on Instagram for the up-to-date snap shots of the unveiling and the 2 weddings I'm working Friday and Saturday... loreen_rose.

It's time for an Allie and Tom update....from me and the photographer!  Gravidee Photography did an amazing job shooting the sweet couple's wedding...it doesn't even look like they are in the boonies of Wisconsin (at least that's what it felt like to me).

Behind the Scenes | Canvas Background Color

I'm ready for the weekend and enjoying more time up at my cottage in Wisconsin.  We have our annual golf outing where we all pretend we know how to play the frustrating game but really just look forward to the vodka lemonades and cheese balls.

I've obviously already started Allie and Tom's painting, but I thought I'd back track just a wee bit to give you some insight into my painting process.  I'm digging a little deeper into these first steps and showing things off in another video.

Oh how I dread watching myself, but I thankfully have Bella for some light entertainment (my wince at the beginning of the video is Bella trying to interrupt me).  How many meows do you hear?

Allie and Tom Update | Peonies in July

Allie and Tom's wedding went off without a hitch on Saturday...despite the unusually cold July weather.  Take a look at the blushing bride and her parents:

After finishing my last painting and having a mini break, I was awfully anxious to start my next painting.  Over the weekend I put some compositions together, but had to wait to return to Chicago before any paint could hit a canvas.  So yesterday, I finalized a composition and got to work!

So beautiful, right!?  I'm still beaming that the lace from Allie's mom's wedding dress fit perfectly into this frame.

Can't wait to start painting tomorrow!
