Well this painting is looking to be a little pistol. After spending a lot of time sketching the whole thing in, I was able to really start painting. Here's a look at the sketch and progress up to today.

New Painting!
A new painting has begun. I am currently in the process of sketching it out. The sketching process is looking to be a bear because of all the roses, but painting will hopefully go rather quickly...the piece is only 20x16 inches. This is the composition the client has chosen. Stay tuned for lots more updates later this week.

It's Finished!
It's been awhile since the wedding, but the painting is finally finished!
As a reminder, here is side by side comparison with the original photo (photo on the left; painting on the right). If you ask me, I think the painting has a bit more life to it than the photo....but I'm also a little biased. What do you think?!

Bamboo Serenity Finished!!!
Well it's finally finished!!! My Lemont mural has come to its completion. Thank you to Rae for inviting me into her home once again, and trusting me with her walls.
The writing on the bamboo stalks was done with glow-in-the-dark paint, so the painting will be enjoyed anytime of the day.
A few inspirational words were "engraved" into the river rocks.

Lemont Mural
Back in 2006, I painted a mural of the Chicago skyline in a residential condo in downtown Lemont. 3 years later, the owner of the condo is ready for a change, so I will be transforming the wall from a buzy city scene to a serene bamboo forest.
This is the image I will be referencing.
Here's what the mural looks like today after a long day of painting. I'm planning on having it finished by the beginning of next week so I can get back to the Rossi bouquet painting.

Weekend work....
This Saturday was a beautiful day for a wedding, and I was so glad the weather cooperated because I had the pleasure of taking photographs of a Clara Williams Company co-worker's bouquet. The bouquet was done by Alice's Garden and featured 2 types of ivory roses. I'll be putting together some compositions soon for our boss to choose from (she's giving the painting to the bride as a gift!). Congratulations Katie and Ted!
Hollie and Anthony's painting is slowly filling in, but may go even slower this week. I have a mural that I am starting this week out in Lemont. Oddly enough, I am painting over a mural I did back in 2006 of the Chicago skyline. The new painting will be of a bambo forest. I'll be posting the progress of this project as well, so be sure to check back....lot's going on!
