Parading Around

It has been 2 weekends in a row of promoting myself at the Bay Area Parade of Homes up in Traverse City, Michigan, and I must say that I think all the travel and smiling will definitely pay off in the end. I have quite a few leads and a visit in the works for July already. Big thanks to Tricia and Dean for housing me, feeding me, and letting me live vicariously through them for awhile. I can't wait to visit again...and maybe enjoy some r & r the next time.

Now I can get back to painting. Here's the setup for Brian and Rachel's painting. It's hard to see, but the canvas on the right has been sketched in. This one will be interesting....

Parade of Homes

This weekend I will be back up in Traverse City, MI to promote my 2 murals during the Parade of Homes for the Grand Traverse Home Builders Association. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes....I'm hoping for great things. In the meantime, here are pics of foot stools I painted for the kids' rooms as an added bonus.
Have a great weekend!

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings

I have finally recovered from the weekend both physically and mentally and am able to go over all the good things happening. First of all, I was honored to do day of wedding coordination for a good friend, Alana and her now husband, Ben. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and included some lovely details that I was lucky enough to be apart of creating...like the swirled petal aisle.

I will also be painting Alana's gorgeous bouquet of peonies as a gift to her. I'm so excited about this painting because of all the color.

Since I was working a wedding on Saturday, I had to make special arrangements for another bouquet that I will be painting for my biggest promoter...Cathi. She will be giving this one for a gift as well.
I drove up to Libertyville on Friday to take pictures at the florist...Buss Florals. This bouquet turned out to be very photogenic, so it will be interesting to see what compositions develop from it.

And finally, Brian and Rachel have allowed me to pick their painting composition that will be their wedding gift. Here's what I've chosen....what do you think?!

Weekend Wedding

This weekend I had the pleasure of going down to Kansas City, Missouri to attend the wedding of a good family friend...Brian and his new wife Rachel. I will be gifting them a bouquet, so get ready to see this one created. Her flowers were absolutely gorgeous, so they should make for a great painting!
