Reenie Rose Intern!

I've teased you long enough.  I'm thrilled to not only have one, but TWO interns working with me this summer!  The wheels are already turning in our noggins and plans are being made for Reenie Rose world domination.  Ok, baby steps.
Without further adieu, I introduce intern #1...Geena.  I promise she is not being referred to as #1 throughout the office...though it's not a bad idea....

Hi everyone!

My name is Geena and I am working for Reenie Rose as a marketing intern this summer! I was on the dance team all four years at Benedictine University and graduated this May with a Business degree.

I can't describe how passionate I feel about Loreen's work; she loves what she does and I love that about her and her company. I've been working for Loreen for the past week and we've come up with some new, exciting ideas that can help Reenie Rose grow nationally! I'm excited to continue my work with Loreen this summer!

Have a great week!

Memorial Memories

Happy Memorial Day folks!  How lucky are we to have such a beautiful day?!
I feel even luckier to have spent it up at my most favorite place in the world....my cottage in Wisconsin.  You really can't beat good good weather, good people and good food.  It is definitely a special place....I mean, look what we ate for dinner!

One of my most thrilling parts of the weekend was the chance to finally sit down with my Martha Stewart Weddings magazine and flip to my little shout out.  Yes!!  You heard right... I'm in this summer's issue of Martha Stewart Weddings!!!!

I'll be honest, it came as a complete surprise to hear that Reenie Rose graced the pages as the perfect solution to preserving a bouquet.  I mean, I know that it is, but to have Martha telling everyone and their mother to go out and have their bouquet painted is a complete honor.  I feel that special thanks should be made to the editor in chief, Darcy Miller, for remembering me from our meeting back in February in New York.  Thank you Darcy!

Here is the snippet from page 178 with my "Ask Martha" question and answer:

If you can't read this then for heaven's sake....go out and get yourself a copy!  Share the fabulousness with everyone around you.

Again, Happy Memorial Day!  Don't forget to honor our military for keeping us safe and able to enjoy such a wonderful weekend with friends and family.
Stay tuned this week for some more exciting posts...meet my intern, check out a new painting I am starting and other projects coming up!

Attempting to be Mysterious

Goodness, when was the last time I posted....
I've been a busy girl lately.  I recently wrapped up the rest of my scheduled events including one at my favorite store....BHLDN (check out pics on Reenie Rose's Facebook page).  A lot of painting has been going on, and voila....we have a finished painting:

Don't you just love, love, love this one!!!  I'm so happy it is for my bff, Abra, and her husband Peter.  I'll get to revisit it for years and years to come.  Thank you again to Hello Darling for producing such an exquisite bouquet to work from.

Though this is it's debut into the world, I am going to be showing off this beauty a little bit more in a future post.  On Tuesday I helped put together an amazing inspiration shoot that not only features this painting, but several amazing ladies (and one dashing young man).  I can't wait to share these images with you!
Because I am so nice, here's a peak:

I'll give you another hint to all of the exciting things going on in the Reenie Rose world.  3 words: Martha Stewart Weddings.  Oh, get excited here folks!

To Have and to BHLDN

Any amount of time spent at Chicago's BHLDN store is such a special treat.  I seriously would like to just campout there for a nice long week to take in all of the pretty little details that I scour over when I visit.  For now I will just have to accept small doses since I would likely be kicked out if someone saw me curled up in one of their luxurious dressing rooms.
Last night I had a fix at the Everygirl launch party hosted by BHLDN.  I felt like I was at a big girls tea party complete with dress up.  Ok, so there wasn't any tea, but a fabulous cocktail by Femme du Coupe and no dress up bins, but fanciful frocks were all around (all of the employees were wearing signature BHLDN dresses).

Revae of Femme du Coupe serving up deliciousness!

My FORM co-hostess, Kristine, and her co-worker, Jamie, all dressed up in BHLDN

BHLDN was dabbled with flowers by none other than the fabulous Hello Darling

Cupcakes provided by Sprinkles.  I'll admit...I had 2.

Heaven?
Loving these dresses for summer
I definitely think this is the entrance to heaven...see the light at the end of the tunnel?

Ah, a beautiful evening.  Luckily, I will be returning to this retreat on Sunday for a cute Mother's Day event from 12-6pm.  Stop by and see mom and me doing our thing.  I'll be working on this number there as well...

BFF Painting

This weekend I attended a friend's wedding in Michigan.  It reminded me that the last wedding I went to was for the painting I am currently working on.  Believe it or not, I don't attend many weddings, so when I actually go to one as a guest, it's a special moment for me.  I was thinking back to that beautiful day in October when my best friend married her best friend.

Abra's bouquet was a gorgeous mix of flower varieties created by one of my faves, Hello Darling.

I began the painting at the April in Paris event at The Left Bank

and have continued to work on it...
Everything is popping beautifully!
